Leap, Adapt, Anchor: The New Playbook for Generative‐AI Mastery

How the L‐A‐A formula turns everyday tasks into innovation wins—and keeps your team ahead of the curve.

Leap, Adapt, Anchor – Your Roadmap to Thriving with Generative AI

Good morning, innovators! I’m Hamidul Huq – business & innovation coach. Over the last decade I’ve helped Geneva Airport and dozens of other teams turn tentative ideas into market‑ready concepts.

Recently I set myself a deliciously tough challenge: compress a proven two‑hour AI‑innovation workshop into a 15‑minute keynote without losing the “aha!” moments that flip mind‑sets from curious to confident. Spoiler: it worked – and what follows is the playbook you can use to create the same shift in your own organisation.

Why Generative AI Can’t Wait

  • In 2010 the world published ≈ 88 000 scientific papers on AI.

  • By 2022 the figure had rocketed to ≈ 240 000 – almost triple.

  • In 2023, one in every hundred new research papers (across all disciplines) mentioned generative AI.

Meanwhile, mainstream interest hardly moved for 18 years… until ChatGPT’s release in late 2022 lit the rocket. Since then, startups confess they wake up to fresh breakthroughs every morning – and struggle to keep pace.

The message is crystal clear: “business as usual” no longer exists.

Introducing the L‑A‑A Formula

Think of L‑A‑A as the new “mandatory investment” that replaces the old‑school training budgets most firms earmarked for digital tools.

Step

Action

Mind‑set Shift

L – Leap into AI

Treat every daily task as an experiment: Could generative AI draft this deck? Plan this sprint? Render a promo video?

Intention

A – Adapt for Impact

Drop the notion of mastering a tool before using it. With 12 million monthly users, fewer than 0.03 % ever watch the tutorial video of one popular image generator – they just dive in and iterate live.

Agility

A – Anchor to the New World

Resist the temptation to retreat when the first prompt flops. Iterate, ask the model for ideas you didn’t consider and keep refining until the output resonates emotionally.

Commitment

A Live Exercise: From Text to Visual Story

During the session I asked participants to read this line from a talk I gave on building an innovation‑coaching service:

“We can create a structure with innovative leadership that enables people to become innovation leaders themselves.”

Everyone then generated an image that amplified the message. First drafts were… fine. But only after several prompt → review → tweak cycles did golden imagery emerge: a gleaming production line whose conveyor delivers gold‑plated eggs – a perfect metaphor for empowered employees repeatedly hatching valuable ideas.

The takeaway?

  1. Prompting is dialog, not dictation.

  2. AI supplies unexpected options; humans decide which one rings true.

  3. Genuine resonance shows up in the audience’s eyes – smiles, laughter, silent focus.

Your Turn: Put L‑A‑A to Work

Today

  1. Pick a task you’ll do anyway – planning your day, drafting a client email, designing a slide.

  2. Leap: open your favourite AI tool and attempt it there first.

  3. Adapt: when the output misses, converse with the model. Ask for variations, analogies, tone shifts.

  4. Anchor: commit to finishing the task inside the AI environment, even if it feels slower at first. That muscle grows fast.

Tonight, reflect: how did the quality and speed compare to your old method? Where did the AI surprise you? Repeat tomorrow.

Final Thought

Generative AI isn’t a tide you can surf occasionally; it’s the new ocean. Leap, Adapt, Anchor – do it now, and you’ll ride the crest instead of scrambling for driftwood.

Got 15 minutes to de‑risk your AI roadmap?

If I can’t surface three generative‑AI wins that boost your P&L this quarter, the call ends early.
